Logos News Update October 2012

The third Logos album Shamania is now available. Herewith the track listing:-

Even though we've finally finished with Shamania, there's still quite a bit in store for Logos in the near future. Logos now have a website at http:/www.logosnexus.com. Expect more free tracks of the week shortly; alternate versions of tracks you'll already have heard, plus others you won't have heard at all. We have a fair few outtakes from the Shamania sessions to share with you. We also recorded the fourth Logos album, Santa Susana Blues, over the summer. We'll be returning to this material later this year and giving it a final mix; we intend that there be nothing like the delay between recording and final mix this time round. Shamania took far too long, and the material we cut ended up being enough to fill an entire second album...

santa susana blues

we've now finished a preliminary mix of our fourth album. this music has come together very quickly, all of it created between late june and late august 2012. the album title is santa susana blues. herewith the current track listing:-

we've created an initial mix of the whole album, which runs to just under an hour. we intend to return to this project and finalise it following the release of our third album shamania at the end of this month.

the fourth logos album

regular blog readers will be aware that we've been busy creating new music for our fourth album. the construction process for this one is slightly different to our previous three albums, in that we're working on multiple tracks simultaneously, shaping each against and in context with the others rather than singling them out and working on them track by track. that said, there are some which we would consider finished.

yes, we know we said that after shamania we'd be taking a break before working on another logos album, in order to focus on other projects, but these new sounds came in unbidden and the best thing to do is to follow them and see where they take us.

tracks in progress or complete include: something witchy, come to now, santa susana blues, the last door, hungry knife, coyotenoia, 23 years in the tombs you made, where rivers ran upside down, infinite soul, the devil's business, hallways of always. there is a clear theme to this album which we'll leave it up to you to guess.
